Well the G17 I used was just a rental so it was probably used a lot but never cleaned. That was also the first time I ever shot a 9mm or a glock. But I kept my sights for the bulls eye and only rapid-fired one clip yet I couldn't come within an inch of the bulls eye except for one stray bullet that wasn't far off. Well practice makes perfect, and I have/am neither. The reason for my inaccuracy might be simply that I am still a novice shooter. I am still waiting for my licence to be delivered.

Useless firearm to me. but hey, whatever floats your boat. I'll Stick with 1911's.

To NormanMatchem: How can you say a Glock 17 is inaccurate? I've never heard such a claim. My brother had a 17 for years and he was a dead shot with it (as was I) from 30 yards. How do you explain that?

my favorite pistol is the Five seven or the luger .22 ive been around the block with all weapons and rounds and honestly. The .22 is the best.

You mean 'assume the firearm is always loaded'. Even if the gun is empty and you know for sure, it is not a toy to be played with. Just because you took out the clip doesn't mean there might be a round in the chamber.
NormanMatchem (October 10, 2008 at 7:39 pm)
It is indeed total and utter overkill and the recoil makes continuous and accurate shooting impossible but I think it is probably a very accurate round when used in the Deagle. Also I bet trying to control the kick gives the shooter a real rush. :p I assume, naturally, that by 50 cal you mean the .50 AE pistol round. The .50 cal rifle round is anything but useless and pointless. The farthest sniper kill was made over 2 kilometers away by a Canadian. The bullet was in the air for four seconds!

I've shot a Glock 17 (which is 9mm) and I can vouch for it's inaccuracy. There is also a vid where a guy tells about his compact .45 which is more accurate than his full sized Beretta 92 (which is 9mm). I know for a fact that the Desert Eagle has a long barrel but I wiki'd it just to be certain. You can't get ANY Desert Eagle with a barrel less than half a foot long and you could even get a Deagle with a 10 inch barrel. As for the heaviness being a factor, I never heard of it effecting accuracy.
