"Surrender to terrorists"? Been watching FOX news a bit have we?
Have we INVADED and removed the governments of Algeria, Sudan, Egypt or the Philppians any time recently?
It's one thing to go after terrorist cells in foreign nations, I'm all for that. It is another thing entirely to invade the country outright, especially when they had NOTHING to do with 9/11 and had NO WMD's!
If we invade every country that has SOME terrorists in their borders, we'll have to conquer half the world!

News flash: We have been fighting in Algeria, Philippians, Sudan, Egypt and others. to only fight on one front and surrender ALL other fields to the terrorist does not make sense.

Wow, couldn't come back with facts so you just toss out blanket statements accusing me of ignoring the AQ threat? Sounds like a typical neo-con response to me.
For your info, I SUPPORTED the invasion of Afghanistan and I also SUPPORT the continued efforts to track down AQ members, including Bin Laden. I understand completely that they are a continuing threat which is exactly WHY I regret that we have gotten off track with the mistake of invading Iraq.

Your blindness to the war and the fanaticism that drives the Islamo-fasist is disturbing. Ignoring the threat and hoping that fuzzy bunny's will protect you is naïve and foolish. Just as Hitler stated his designs during the 1930's, the terrorist have repeatly made clear they are willing the kill ALL that will not convert and make all nations a theocracy under Sharia law. They have given us a simple choice on your knees to Mecca or with your neck stretched out.

Your response is an example of how people "cherry pick" information to fit their own views...
"many fighters were drawn from terrorist groups with CLOSE TIES to Al Qaeda". So now you are saying that they weren't actually AQ fighters but "other" terrorists that had some relationship with AQ?
Did any of these so-called terrorists attack the United States?
Claiming that we were justified to invade Iraq because they may or may not have had SOME non-AQ terrorist fighters is a weak argument

Saddam had three terror training camps in Samarra, Ramadi, and Salman Pak. They were directed by elite Iraqi military units. Interviews by U.S. government interrogators with Iraqi regime officials and military leaders corroborate the documentary evidence found in the camps. Many of the fighters were drawn from terrorist groups with close ties to al Qaeda. Some 2,000 terrorists were trained at these Iraqi camps each year from 1999 to 2002. Google search Iraq terrorist training camps

Sorry but that isn't correct. The Taliban were the ruling party in Afghanistan and they were OPENLY harboring and arming AQ.
On the other hand, there have never been any concrete connections made between Hussein and AQ. NO evidence has been produced that he actively supported or trained AQ members in Iraq.

Afghanistan had nothing to do with 911 either they just let AQ recruit and train in their country. Saddam was supporting AQ and letting them train at bases in Iraq before 911 just like Afghanistan. Of the 18 reasons in the Iraq war resolution almost all of them have been proven true.

Yeah we forgot that Iraq had ANYTHING AT ALL to do with 9/11...... oh wait, they didn't!!!

Education?
Obama: 8 years - Columbia University, Harvard Law School, Juris Doctor (J.D.) magna cum laude from Harvard.
Biden: 8 years - University of Delaware, Syracuse University, J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law
McCain: 3 years - Naval Academy, Rank (894 of 899)
Palin: 5 years - University of Idaho, communications-journalism
And to think George Bush had more education than both McCain AND Palin put together. |
