Ah... according to Wikipedia, it's performed to the tune "Solfeggio" by Robert Maxwell.

Woa... I remember listening to Quiet Village, one of Martin Denny's LPs. It had Sake Rock on it, which was on Sesame Street on one of their animated sketches.

I'm digging the whole Arthur Lyman / Martin Denny vibe here. Was this an original tune?

I think this is really good, I barely remember this growing up. I was born in 63.

Exactly! I love blue Man Group - but when I saw them, I said 'Oh my God - it's just the Nairobi Trio painted blue!!' I doubt most of the folks seeing them spot the obvious "homage" to Kovacs.

I agree. The weird masks/wigs/coats combo, the robotic movements, the light music, all has a bizarre nightmare logic about it.

Ernie Kovacs was way before the Blue Man Group. It was before Saturday Night Live. He was a genius from before my time and he died too young and he was probably before his time. Others copied him to this day.

See Pierre Boulle didn't think of it first. Google it.
