Nixon created the EPA, OSHA, normalized relations with the Chinese, withdrew from Vietnam, signed the SALT treaty, affirmative action... he did all these things that liberals just love, but because he was a member of the GOP, Nixon was evil and corrupt.
Honestly, get your head out of the sand.
(Now, I think Nixon was way too far to the left -- if you want him, you can have him!)

Nixon was a solid president aside from Watergate. Detente / Ping Pong Diplomacy. He normalised relations with China. He created the EPA. He did a lot. A lot more than the Reagan Republican Party. The True Republican party died when Ford left office.
