I sang this song to my very first gf at the age of 14- 2 years later she lost her life in a traffic accident. RIP Jennifer Frost- 1964-1980

Ah, The Seekers were yet another great band from the '60s that graced our collective minds with their beautiful performances. How we do remember them well, and it is an honor to hear them once again perform this special number.

Those were indeed the days. She looks a lot like my wife looked back in that day. But then a lot of the chicks had that look. But few could sing that well! Thanks!!!

I first heard this song after I got out of high school (which was 1981). But I never knew what they looked like till I found this video on Youtube. Thanks for posting it. This is neat. I love it. And what a voice Judith Durham had. Wow. And how about that cat with the double base! Cool.
Thanks,
Barry

Thanks so much for the replies all....lets me know I'm on the right track. B.T.W. another choice (distant second) would be Joe Cocker's You Are So Beautiful. I'll bring this up to my daughter at the right time. Hope she enjoys it also. THANKS AGAIN.

Pardmoi, absolutely, it would be a very touching dance I would say.

for pardmoi: Here's another suggestion, if it's not too late to throw in a bid: this is a lovely song, and most appropriate, yet the song I'd want for that dance would be Buddy Holly's "True Love Ways". And I'd want my brother to play the beautiful saxophone part along with it. Somehow I think it's more slow-danceable... But the sentiments in either case would be wonderful.

Most definately!
