Oh yeah... seatbelt laws... they're so retarded.
If you do not harm another person, or mess with another persons rights, you can do WHATEVER you want.
YOU are allowed as a human being to ride your bike without a helmet if you want to, or drive a car without a seatbelt.
That is basic common sense Freedom.

Well, they're trying to make laws (and have made some) in the US, and other places now, so that if you download ONE song, you spend life in prison or go to a forced labor camp.
I'm not making this up. It's sick and disgusting.
In some states in the US you have to pay ridiculous fines (tens of thousands of dollars) if you go ONE mile over the speed limit, or don't wear your seatbelt.

mosterk4: BBC obviously got it completely wrong. There is no way anyone could end up in prison for two years beacuse of 20 music files + some films and stuff. Sounds more like the MPAA:s wet dreams... :D

zerofool2005 (September 5, 2008 at 9:59 pm)
This was two years ago. They took all TPB's servers (Which they had no right to under sweedish law) The US goverment said they HOSTED illegal files. They also took servers from other comapnies unrelated to TPB. Some still havnt been returned. TPB is now hosted in various countries.
Also this is a datacenter. Most of them look the same as this. Lots of differnt companies store there servers in there
Chris2300DK (August 25, 2008 at 4:30 pm)
Is this the REAL place where they have all the servers?
But if the cops have been there thepiratebay would been closed now?

oh, from the BBC site.
If convicted, the four men could face a maximum of two years in prison.
The charges relate to 20 music files, nine film files and four computer game files.
