I think it is stupid 20 plus years after the fact to keep arguing who is better (Dave or Sammy). I grew up on this band. I was 12 when I heard them the 1st time, and actually When It's Love is the first song I remember hearing. I actually heard Jump after that (go figure). Sammy was actually my gateway to hearing Roth. Both eras were fantastic! A lot of good music from my youth I will carry through my lifetime. I love this stuff!

Well, i hate to say it but i'm glad that David departed from VH at that time because that action brought Sammy Haggar and we can enjoy this great song along with other great songs like "Dreams".Not that i don't like Dave's era but they both are now part of Van Halen's history

VanHagar!
Sammy can work a guitar......in his own unique way.....great to see a front man not be so......fronting.......and able to play guitar and use their voice, love to see ed drenched in a healthy cleansing sweat, and he's smiles all smiles workin those keyboards,......david lee roth was kinda bigger and a showhog, with sammy, everyone seems more in sync, as people, musicians, more relaxed, and still able to turn out great tunes, dave had his era with the band, he just never progressed

david lee roth was good as a frontman with all his prancing around but i think sammy can't be beat with his vocals and guitar playing
