Family Legend says that I expressed the desire to play the violin (I switched to viola when I was eight) because of seeing Itzhak on Sesame Street. It wasn't this bit, because it is from a year after I started playing, but I love this video, and am placing it on my favorites. Thanks to the person who posted it!

Yah, how does he do that? The low note alternates between opposite outer keys as well. What talent!!

No it wasn't. Around 1:21 he uses 2 fingerings for the same note.

The first time I ever saw Ithzak Perlman was on Sesame Street, playing Partita for Solo Violin. It's the melody used for the video, "You Can Clean Almost Anything," you know, the one that was cut from the Old School video? |
