I agree. Kenny is bright when he plays by himself, but being next to Sanborn here is like putting Paul Desmond next to Charlie Parker.
Kenny Garrett is an amazing player, and I love his sound. Sanborn is a great player too, but I can't listen to him for too long or else I get a headache.

Honestly, I'm really not crazy about the album this is from, Amandla. It all sounds so mechanical on that album, bleh. But this video, this is really good. Sweet.

I think he mean's foley's bass (the blue one), which is a piccolo bass. marcus has the jazz.
